Using the process of elimination, you should be correct Hope there's a good one out there who we can sign. There was a kid from Kansas I think it was, mentioned awhile back. Name something like Kinarski. Might not be it. Time is drawing near.

Kalinosky signed with Davidson, it seems. So if there is one left and we go SG, does that mean no Hooper?

Hard to tell. It might. With our new juco being versatile, and maybe the Talahina kid likewise, we might have some slack. D'Andre and Chucky are going to play a lot of minutes, regardless. I really would love to get Vint, because big men are so hard to get, but we would be thin at guard, and very vulnerable to injury. I don't know if our walk-on is good enough to be a factor.

In my opinion if a skilled in state 6'11 player will sign with you, you take him and take your chances at guard. The only two 6'9 plus in state players to sign with us in the last 25 years were Jake and Darius, so that chance doesnt happen often. We'd be thin at guard but we could manage.

No idea what Hooper might do. Word was that Pelphrey wanted him to walk on for one year. I doubt Anderson would have any interest. Interesting he hasn't committed yet. Not sure that bodes well for us, since he's probably had an offer from here for a long time. Still having Joe Kleine as a coach, and your dad doing your games on radio, might be a draw. Still if we end up with Neighbour, Javes, Hooper, and Gus- if two of them pan out, we could compete with anyone in a couple of years. Not too many teams in the country with 2 6'10" kids who can play.

BTH says it probably is Ron Baker, 6-3 SG from Scott City, KS. Also offered by SD State and Eastern Illinois.
