Rumors have it that Tech has Mooney on their short list. They have Smart on their short list too. But I think some folks want a proven coach on the Big 6 level due to Hewitt was a coach that had success at the non Big 6 level.

I have heard the same rumors. However, I haven't heard that Smart is on the GT short list, but is on the Tennessee short list.

Hewitt got let go early enough that I figure he will land somewhere next year.

With the buyout he is getting, depending on the terms, he might be financially better off without getting a job for next year.
