Size does matter!
Ultimately, having good bigs will win most games assuming guards are decent. Even if you don't have great shooting guards, if you have terrific big men, they'll give you second chances. Ashville had terrific leapers, but they weren't very tall, and over the course of the game against Pitt, they wore down.

If we get all the big men we're counting on, it could elevate our program to a higher level. We can always find pretty decent guards. It's the big guys we've been lacking. Maybe we're on the right track now. This was obvious even when we played teams from the Mo Valley. They always had some big guys, who though not great athletes, could dominate us on the boards and get a lot of second chance points and keep us from doing the same.04-cheers

I feel pretty good about how the future is shaping up, especially since so many of our good signees have been and look to be underclassmen as opposed to a bevy if JC guys.

Agree. I don't know that next season will be a break-out year, but I definitely feel like we are on the right track and good things are happening.

But get us a good shooting guard for next year!

Sure size matters. Very few coaches can win big without it. Even Nolan, who ignored post play to a large degree, never won big until he got a dominant post man.
