RE: Orange crushed
Since Expansion in 2005 UCONN hasn't been able to do jack in the BET. Tomorrow will be their BET first final.
Calhoun was a good coach when he only had to worry about Boeheim, but now you have Pitino, Dixon and a host of other good coaches, Calhoun hasn't made the BET final since expansion in 2005. Boeheim made three finals and won two BET titles since expansion. Calhoun had a long losing streak in the BET since expansion. So much for being the best coach in March. BE Expansion has been rough on UCONN. Too much competition had dropped them off the national scene. They are 9-9 in conference this year. Undefeated OOC. Hardly living up to the legacy Calhoun built prior to expansion.
And yes. SF Husky did seem to pop up again right after UCONN beat Pitt. Where was UCONN's #1 fan when the team was struggling? CUrious?
It's like the miserable guy lying on his death bed and then all of a sudden there's a blip on his heart monitor. "It's a miracle!" " He's Alive!" Talking smack as usual.
The fair weather fan is back because things are finally looking up. But where was he when things weren't looking so good? Probably crying in his pillow.
P.S. Both SYR and Pitt have won four games in four days and took the BET title.
IMHO Kemba is national POY
We need to kick ND out of the conference

Pitino is a damn good coach. He and Calhoun should be candidates for coach of the year in the BE. Pitino had bunch of injuries on your roster. Calhoun took a team of mostly freshmen and sophomores to this level. Kemba is basically our oldest starter as a junior. There are times we got 4 freshmen and Kemba on the floor at the same time. You can make a case for both.
I hope Kemba got enough gas left in his tank. He already broke the all time BET scoring record. He is like Ben Gordon reborn.
This game tonight even though I wanna win is gravy @ this point. We should get a 3 seed-(I hope) and considering the injuries we had-(we lost 2/3 of our projected starting front court this year in Buckles & Swopeshire for the season).
I do feel we are the one school that can matchup with Walker with Knowles and Siva and I expect a exciting game. Hopefully it will be injury free and then it on to the NCAAs.

UCONN is built for March and we are ready for our madness run.

Kemba Walker 13-14 from the line
The Syracuse Team 5-11
Yup natural order restored indeed with the Huskies getting the Duke/Jordan treatment so they have the budding superstar on during prime time in the championship game.

Tell you (you know who you are) what, if you don't want SF Husky to fire on you, don't provoke him. Most of you have been around the boards long enough to know that he'll respond to ANY comment about UConn.
It takes two to piss. I guess, as long as it all stays in the same thread, have at it!

Yes, UConn has fallen off the national scene, which is why they were in the Final 4 in 2009 and will be a 3 or 4 seed in this year's tournament.

God yet another Cuse fan bitching about calls. Guess what? Teams that are more aggressive get calls. UCONN take it to the hole regularly while CUSE settle for jump shots. They missed a ton of calls against UCONN too. Kemba get some and he got screwed on others.
You guys were lucky as hell to even be in that game. Those prayers Scoop threw in at the end of the regulation were almost pure luck. Refs were not the reason you lost last night.

What this Orange homer does not realize is his Cuse has done absolutely nothing other than choking in the NCAA since 2005. While BET wins are nice, but I much rather see UCONN deep in the NCAA.

Kemba Walker played a great game in the bright lights of the NYC media. But he has to do it again to seal the deal. He'll deserve all the accolades he's currently getting if he wins the BEast Championship Trophy for UConn...

Thanks for the props...the scary thing for us is that next year we get our projected starting Forwards back, plus 2 Burger All American's and former Wake Forest Center Tony Woods and we only lose Knowles off our first 10 players.

You guys got a tough team. Your guards are good. Knowles will be a huge loss. I expect Kemba to NBA so that's a forgone conclusion. He has graduated in 3 years so that's pretty good in itself. He will be a good player in the NBA in the mold of Ben Gordon. Even Ben said Kemba plays like him.
I think both UCONN and Villes will be very good next year. We are a really really young team who will get everyone back except for Kemba and two bench warming seniors. We also gonna get our Kemba clone Ryan Boatright in next year. Shabazz should shine with Kemba gone. The kid is a player and will play a huge role in UCONN's NCAA run. Jeremy Lamb should be awesome.
I would hold on those Burger boys. Most of them turned out to be frauds. If they end up with Duke or UNC, they are automatic burger boys. Shabazz and Jeremy Lamb were both not even on their list, but I would take those 2 over most of the Burger boys any day of the week.

True but get'n Buckles & Swopeshire back is huge and get'n Woods from Wake adds another very big body to the frontline with Jennings, Van Treese and Deing. Plus we will not be counting on the Burger boys since outside of Knowles every1 back especially Siva.
UConn will be very good next year even without Kemba because the young'n are grow'n up very fast.
It will be a rugged year yet again in the BIG EAST in 2011-2012 and I would not have it any other way. As for 2night I am just going to enjoy the game win or lose. We did what we needed to do, I want a win but beat any BIG EAST team 3 times in one year is next to impossible.

Unlike WVU, which will only have 5 scholarship players returning. Freshman Kevin Noreen went out for the season before conference play began, and I'm not sure if the NCAA is going to grant him a medical redshirt or not. He may have played in too many games. So Huggs is going to be heavily dependent upon freshmen, just like when KJ, Ebanks, and Truck were freshmen. Hopefully, we've got some kids that will produce. But you never can tell until they hit the floor on the big stage...

Huggins will have WVU once again tough as nails. Yes you will be young but we been going up against him for 20 years so I will NEVER!!!! count out a Bob Huggins coached team. You can count on them doing 2 things very well, play defense and rebound. In this league that will get you a long way.

I fully expect Huggs to have a good team next year. He always does. But there are a lot of questions as to who the major contributors are going to be next year...

I don't think anyone is worried about SF "firing" on them. He usually gets hosed in most debates anyway.
And who's provoking whom "Orange crushed".
He's probably still mad about that six overtime loss that the networks keep playing and talking about every year around BET time. Can't blame Cuse for that.
And why "Orange Crushed". I mean we beat UCONN at home this year and Cuse fans didn't post, "CUSE abuse of Huskies make Mike Vick look like dog lover."
