So, with all the tournament stuff going on, a thought popped into my head.

Let's assume that the Big East doesn't add another all-sports team.

How would the Big East Tournament work with 17 teams?

Leave out #17?
Give #1 a triple bye (though I'm not sure that'd work...)?
Revert back to using only the top 12?
Have some kind of "play in" game between the bottom 2?

Probably the bottom portion IMO. Would make logistical sense.

Get rid of DePaul as a Big East team, and make it 16 again.

Frank's idea the other day was double byes for the top 4 still, single bye for seeds 5-7, and 5 games on the opening day.

I still prefer the option of going back to the top 12 teams heading to NYC. It gives the regular season more meaning...
