RE: St. John's-Rutgers
If I had been Rutgers coach, I'd probably be going to jail right now for assault and battery. I'd have cold cocked Jim Burr, and continued the beating once he hit the floor...

Rutgers definitely got screwed about five times in the closing minute. Horrible officiating.

The refs decided the end of the game with 3 non-calls that woulda changed the outcome. I will never root for Syracuse so hard like I will tomorrow. I'm also rooting for those refs to get fired and have their entire lives fall apart.

RE: St. John's-Rutgers
wow. that was some of the worst officiating i've ever seen in a 1 minute period. I couldn't tell if it was over the back like the announcer was saying, but the play by Kennedy was a foul and it was pretty obvious that Brownlee traveled and then stepped out of bounds for good measure. the refs just assumed that brownlee isn't a total freakin retard. never assume i guess. all i know is, were gonna get blown out by Syracuse

That was atrocious... Doug Gottlieb got it right when he said those refs should not ref in the Big East again.

Rutgers got screwed big time...lets hope its enough to get Burr and Higgins away doing BE conference games for good. I know WVU fans grown when they see those two run on the floor

These refs should be banned for the rest of the Big East Tournament and should not be permitted to ref another Big East regular season game, ever.

I feel very badly for the Rutgers' players right now.

Burr got knocked down during the UC vs Georgetown game on Saturday... the crowd cheered.

If I saw those refs on the street I'm not sure I wouldn't get arrested for aggravated assault right now.

RE: St. John's-Rutgers
one comment needs to be amended. People said the refs ruined a good game. No, they ruined a close game. There was nothing good about that ugly display. That wasn't basketball.

Apparently, the Burr-Higgins crew gets tomorrow night's games. Looks like we can chalk up a win for ND (regardless of what we do tonight).

Refs butchered what was a very good Big East tourney game. Awful. 03-banghead

RU got hosed about 3 times the last minute. The last play when the SJU player stepped OB with 1.7 left and nothing called is an utter embarrassment to the Big East.

Wow, just saw the replay of the last few possession of the game on youtube. Terrible officiating, first of all it looked like the Rutgers player was fouled when he went up for the ball. Second the player clearly stepped out of bounds with time left.

If your judge was a Rutgers alum, he might rule it as justifiable homicide. Self defense, you know...

Maybe the teams will get together and refuse to play the games if those guys work 'em. We can always hope...

Do those clowns work back to back games in the tournament or do they just screw up a single game? I'm wondering if they are reffing just the ND game or if Louisville gets them as well.

Ref head: St. John's end 'unacceptable'

The failure of Jim Burr, Tim Higgins and Earl Walton to officiate until the final buzzer of the St. John's-Rutgers Big East second-round game Wednesday at Madison Square Garden was "unacceptable," the head of the NCAA's officiating told ESPN.com.
