Arsenal vs. Barca
Absolutely terrible decision by the referee in with sending van Persie off. Completely changed the outlook of the game, and it was a horrible call. I was very very disappointed in this game. Thoughts?

If Van Persie wasn't an asshat in the first half, he doesn't get a yellow then. But, I agree, pretty weak second yellow.

Barca played at half speed and still dominated possession against a team that prides itself in possession. It's obvious that you can't beat them at their own game. It will take a physical team that can stay away from getting carded to beat them. I honestly think that Spurs would be a better matchup than Arsenal due to our speed on the wings and Peter Crouch winning every header against them. Chelsea would also be a better matchup than arsenal.

I don't like Arsenal, but the RVP second yellow / red was just crap. He didn't really kick the ball all that late, and it's not like the ball went sailing halfway up the stands.

Barcelona was the better team for sure (Arsenal didn't even have a shot on goal), but the ref interfering with the match ruined it for me.

Cant believe no one here has mentioned Bendtner's horrible touch in the 87th minute when he was clear to goal.

In addition to Bendtners terrible touch. All it takes is one chance. Its no surprise Barca dominated possession, thats what they do. They have lost games where they dominate possession. That game was over when van Persie got sent off. What a shame. That ref looked like an MLS referee out there.

To be honest, that game was over the moment they took the field. Barca was class the entire game. Arsenal had ZERO shots on goal. ZERO.

Todays Spurs-Milan game could be hilarious if the Spurs are up late. I'm sure their fans will start a nice song aimed at the Gooners!

You know it. Let's get to that point first though.

Spurs did what they had to do to advance. If Crouch puts one of about four open headers on target, then Tottenham advances easily.

I still can't believe Milan didn't score on the open goal in the first half when Gomez misplayed the ball. Ibrahimovic, Robinho, and Pato up top and they can't put the ball in the net.

Gallas and Dawson were huge today. Sandro played well for a 20 year old in his first big game.
