If I were to rank those 4 in terms of 'who I would most like to play' I'd say:

1. Florida
2. St. Johns
3. North Carolina
4. Syracuse

Playing UNC in Charlotte would either be a very good or bad situation. On the good side, our fanbase might travel better. On the bad side, it would be like a home game for UNC. Then again, Duke fans might come out just to tear down the Heels, so that could go either way.

Add a new one to the list. Current bracketology has us pegged as a 12 seed against Xavier -- with a possible second round matchup against St. Johns. Xavier is a very beatable team for us (lost to Miami of Ohio by 11) that are riding a hot streak in the A10 right now. I'll update my list then:

1. Xavier
2. Florida
3. St. Johns
4. North Carolina
5. Syracuse

EDIT:
I would like to edit and say though that this list isn't very accurate. I don't think we would have any chance of seeing Florida or North Carolina in the first round. Both have risen too high in rankings. Syracuse is a maybe but I think you could put them in that category as well. We are going to be looking at a top team from a non power conference - like Xavier - or a middle of the road team from a power conference - like a UCONN or Vandy.

What needs to happen (besides a generous committee) for us to keep a 12 seed? Do we want teams like Oakland to lose?

I wouldn't mind Florida, but I do like the fact we could be at a 12 seed. 5 vs 12 seems much more realistic as far as us pulling off an upset.

I think so - we need the big conference tournament favorites to win and bubble teams to drop out. We also need the smaller and mid-major favorites to lose, especially those that wouldn't get an at-large bid. For example, if BU had lost to UNF, the Ospreys would've been lower than the seed we will get now.

I posted this in another thread but I can defiantly see you guys getting a 12 seed now, especially after Missouri State, Fairfield and Coastal Carolina have all gone down.

I've been thinking Louisville might be a good matchup. UK's size concerns me a bit although they are young and a bit inconsistent it would make for a rather significant name to claim for our first tourny win.

I have a friend who is a Louisville fan....I've been talking up Belmont and he keeps saying they suck. I want Louisville.

I'm sure his wealth of knowledge of Belmont as a school and basketball program gives him a great foundation to say a 30-4 team "sucks." Sagarin: 34. Kenpom: 20. But yeah.. we suck.

All this press Belmont is getting is freaking me out. Now we're SUPPOSED to be the team that flies under the radar and busts everyone's bracket.
