Who all is watching this game? This is a close physical battle thus far in the 1st half. Also, a late chance to play on the same floor as the conference tournament next weekend.

I'm watching. I like that we're playing at Mercer this late. It'll make the tournament environment less threatening. I think we should be more comfortable come tournament time having just played here.

Mercer has played tough, Belmont has played better (at the half). Belmont looking strong as anticipated. crisp passing and minimal turnovers.

I'm not seeing a complete team desire in the 2nd half here from Mercer. I think they've given up on this one.

20 point lead now, mercer looks gassed trying to play transition D.

Side note: good crowd at the University Center for an A-Sun game

I was gonna say that too. Lots of paint, well done Mercer.

MercerFan, is it usually like this?

To Smith's credit its physical play inside tonight and refs are letting lots of stuff to go.

That was a great student section, but light crowd overall according to the box score (1300+). I thought it was more than that. Mercer has averaged a little over 2000 (3200 capacity), which is on the upward trend. I'm hoping for a good crowd for Lipscomb in the tourney!!! That could get them over the edge.

I don't know if it was lack of desire of just plain tired. I was on the second row behind the Belmont bench and a few of the players looked worn out. Mills was killing us early in the game, but in the second half his shots started falling a little short (which is a good sign of fatigue) and then he seemed to force them longer and they bounced off the rim.

It may have been the physical nature of the game just wore them out.

You guys are going to miss Mills, but we won't. He's a good player.

Just yell "Momma's Boy" at him whenever he gets the ball.

You might be right about the fatigue. Either way, Belmont played a great game.

Thanks for the comments on Mills. He really seems like a good person on top of ability. Will definitely be missed.
