Looks like Jake is doing just fine.

ISU vs Missouri:
MIN FGM-A 3PM-A FTM-A OREB REB AST STL BLK TO PF PTS
37 7-14 3-8 0-1 2 4 3 1 0 2 4 17

Iowa State cant buy a win.
Did we play Mizzou? How did we do?
Did we score 17 as a team?

Check out Ia St's conference record lmao, nice

Big 12>MAC

Have you seen NIU's conference record?

Yea, in a much weaker conference. So what's your point?

Anderson went from averaging 12-7 for a team that's going nowhere, to a team that might actually make a postseason tourney (at least Iowa State has a winning record overall).

What postseason tourney are you referring to? Not one in this country.

Hmmmm NIT? CBI?

You know what though, MD you win. I'm done arguing against you.

Jake Anderson sucks.

NIU Bball is getting ready to turn the corner.

Patton has left us with a great core of young players.

Seattle is solid.

NIU football is a top 25 program in the nation.

NIU win against Notre Dame would be meaningless.

The Earth is flat.

The sky is purple.

I quit. You got the best of me.

niuliger, i just get frustrated there are people who would devote so much time to trying to bash a university they care nothing about. There are so many other schools that would be funner to heckle like USC, Florida, etc. Why are there so many people fixated on trashing NIU, it just gets so old so fast. If these are alums, then its truly embarassing.

"funner"? 03-lmfao

I am confused. What school are you talking about being bashed? I am hoping you don't mean NIU because we care about the University and I don't remember anyone here bashing it.

Love for your university and the ability to critique it are not mutually exclusive.

They/I/We are critiquing the BB program, more specifically Ricardo (don't call me Ricky) Patton. There's no "trashing" of the University as a whole.

We're "fans", (derived from the word fanatic).

You know what would really be awful:

APATHY

There's really nothing worse.......

It's gonna likely take a L O N G time and the ideal coach to repair the train wreck along rt 38.

But sometimes it takes another coach to elevate the talent. Look at what Molinari did with Rosborough's recruits! Rosborough couldn't coach a park district team, but he recruited some good players. Same players that Molinari took to the NCAA tournament.

Unless you sign the FAB FIVE it takes a few seasons to forge a team with mostly younger players.

What was MO's record first few seasons?

MO only coached at NIU for 2 years. His records for those years were 17-11 and 25-6.

I was sorta surprised to learn of same stats online and that Ros had three consecutive losing seasons before MO arrived and Ros finished 11-17 his final yr.

Apparently MO won with players Ros signed. Did JimM bring in any players who made a difference his second season? Any likelihood hope springs eternal for 2011/12 if Patton is done coaching NIU?

Mo's biggest recruit was Mike Lipnipski (sp?). He played some quality minutes off the bench as a Freshman on the 1991 tourney team. Other than that, I don't remember any of his recruits.

Steve Oldendorf, Brian Molis, Randy Fens, Mike Hidden, Marlin Simms and David Mitchell are the ones I can remember along with Lipnisky.
