He signed with Under Armor, who sponsors Auburn...hmm. Nothing fishy there, just another case of going to the highest bidder. He knows plenty about tht sort of thing already, though. 05-stirthepot03-lmfao

Every year there are a few select recruits who are the "love child" of the major schools around the nation. Does anyone believe they all decide on a school because of their beautiful campus, the engaging personality of their coaches or the luxurious nature of their weight rooms? Yes, they take these attributes into account but at that level, they ALL have these things. What do you suppose makes the final decision so easy?

They got away scott free on Carnell Williams as well. We won't even begin to discuss all of UAT's atrocities. Any UAT fan that wants to complain about AWBarn buying players needs a frontal lobotomy.

RE: Who says crime doesn't pay?
ALL MAJOR national-level university sports programs are backed by multimillionaires who, by their nature, are not used to being made to follow other people's rules. They prefer to make their own and are not used to taking "NO" for a final answer. With this in mind, one should never be surprised when a Logan Young-type becomes a "rogue booster" (a term only assigned in retrospect after getting caught) who can then brag to their like-minded co-conspirators that they are responsible for their school signing such and such top rated prospect. It is not something that AU or Bama can claim to have a monopoly on in the rarified atmosphere of the top 20 or so NCAA D1A programs. That is probably why you can count the number of top 200 recruits who sign with any but the few top nonBCS programs on one hand, or maybe one or two fingers.

It's all about the shoes!

Nike has achieved true vertical integration: they control their own college program (Oregon), control recruiting through their camps and now "place" players where Nike wishes, and controls ESPN as well through individual endorsement contracts with on-air "talent."

UnderArm beat Nike in that game. The two universities just lent them their names.
