There is precedent. WVU agreed to rework their schedule during the last realignment so it ended up with two consecutive games vs. Rutgers in Piscataway.

RE: TCU's 2012 Conference Schedule
It's a pain for one year, but if 9 teams is going to stick for awhile, it might be worth throwing things off a little to get the best home/away combination. I know in the Big Ten, there are several games that will end up in the same site next year due to all the shuffling.

RE: TCU's 2012 Conference Schedule
Syracuse schedule is set up perfect for expansion to ten teams and a 9 game schedule. Anything after ten is really guess work with divisions, etc.

2012 Home

Connecticut
(Villanova or Central Florida)
Texas Christian University
West Virginia
Louisville

2012 Away

Boston College (starting in 2013-2021)
Rutgers
South Florida
Pittsburgh
Cincinnati

Actually Boston College starts as an away game in 2013 so ideally we should switch Connecticut to a home game in 2013 to make it work better or rework the Boston College series.

I don't think the BE is going to want to make TCU's conference life impossible from the get-go, but even if they don't care, there are at least a couple of current members who are not going to like the way this pans out for them either. I'm hoping for a re-working of the rotation.

I have no love for Michigan, but man, I don't understand how they ended up agreeing to a rotation where they play Ohio State, Nebraska AND Notre Dame at home in the same season and then all of them on the road in alternate years. Someone was either asleep at Michigan or they don't have as much power within the Big Ten as people think.

Regardless, I think the BE can and will adjust schedules accordingly (as other conferences that have expanded have done before).
