RE: Crying Over Spilled Milk
I have to say that I have never seen Grant so steamed during a game. He could have killed Higgins with that look. Higgins did blow the out of bounds call big time, but officials miss calls all the time. However, if what I heard today from a blogger who was at the game is correct and can be proven, Higgins could probably lose his right to officiate. The Blogger stated that when Vandy was shooting free throws at the end of the game, after the first one, Grant got Higgins attention and motioned for a timeout. Higgins was looking straight at Grant and then handed the ball to the free throw shooter, denying the timeout. When they showed Higgins on TV, you could see he was just as pissed as Grant was. The problem with Vandy's arena is that the coaches are right on the ends where the officials stand, so they have to get earfuls from the coaches where you can avoid them otherwise on the sidelines. If Higgins let his temper keep him from granting a timeout, he should be kicked out of the game.

But he won't. He'll be kicked out of the SEC and thus be calling more CUSA games. For those of you who think this thread isn't Blazer related, it now is.
