I recall from yrs past a few fans called for removing Kent from MAC for fielding a lame football program.
Perhaps Kent fans should lobby to remove NIU from MAC for lame bball program.

Kent St. is on a roll (so is NIU....just the awful variety) and is probably the best team in the MAC.
Justin Greene is going to light us up.
Kent (no, that's not short for Kentucky) State 88, Huskies 65.

Kent State currently holds the longest winning streak of anyone in the MAC at 5 and is 7-1 and their last 8. Their only loss was at Buffalo where they got dominated, losing 79-54.
For that reason, I have to say Buffalo is the best team in the MAC right now (also 7-1 in their last 8, only loss @ Ball State by 1 point). It will be a 2 horse race for the title between Kent State and Buffalo (Bowling Green hasn't impressed me and even though Miami (OH) has played well, they will be without Antonio Ballard the rest of the way).
Kent State has the edge by playing Buffalo at home. Whoever wins that game, wins the regular season.
Anything can happen in the tournament.
Back to the game. Huskies continue their descent to rock bottom.
Kent State 75
Huskies 65

Fair enough, I guess things will get settled (or further muddled) when Buffalo makes their return trip to Kent State.

Wow this is getting ugly fast. I was excited for a second, I'd figured the wheels would come off in the 2nd half, but it happened much earlier.
It will be interesting to see who Platton tries to blame this one on, ignoring the fact that his team just gave up 42 points at the half.

You can't ignore injuries. You CAN'T! says Patton. We have excuses for the rest of the year. Yeah, Kent State just sort of decided to win now.

I blame the weather. Huskies 0-3 since that snowstorm.

Wow. THe Huskies are REALLY impressing me today. MD02 is right Patton sure has this team playing well this year. We really need to sign him to another contract ASAP so other programs come and poach him.
