Louisville's Coach Hurtt named Recruiter of the Year
Louisville's defensive line coach Clint Hurtt has been named by ESPN as college football's 2011 Recruiter of the Year.

Jamie Newburg Wrote:But rewind the recruiting game tape and sometimes you can see a little more. You can see Louisville's Clint Hurtt persuading players from South Florida to come to a program that has just one bowl appearance in the past four years and 15 bowl appearances total. You see him persuading players to ignore bigger programs with better tradition and more history to come to Louisville. You see him helping the Cardinals earn a spot in the Top 25 class rankings, the only Big East team to do so. That's why Hurtt was named ESPN.com's recruiter of the year.

Charlie Strong Wrote:"Lots of staffs have good coaches or good recruiters. Clint Hurtt is both."

Another recruiting class like Louisville had this year will have those coaches at the top of every SEC team's short list of coaches to interview, after they fire their current coach...

I was thinking the same thing. I also think coaches salaries in college atheltics haved peaked. Unless expenses are controlled, they may well kill the sports we love so much, just sayin'. 04-cheers

Great job, Hurtt! Louisville was wise to get him on staff! He's done outstanding things for this Louisville football team. Big East championship is definitely not out of the question!

If the NFL has a lockout and the NFL regular season ends up not being played, this could end up being the first minor peak on a trip deep into the mountains too...
