Cuse/Hoya Week
Do not hold anything I direct to Hoyas this week against me...I was brought up to hate them. 03-lmfao

Hating the Hoyas is downright un-American. What are you a Communist or an Islamofacist?

Me too. It's a family tradition. When the Knicks drafted Ewing it nearly tore my family apart. (we're Knicks fans.) We had to root for the Knicks and somehow boo Ewing because his Gtown roots.

It became especially difficult when Ewing was taking a clutch shot or playing for the NBA title. I can't tell you how much money we had to spend at the therapist- it was a small fortune. BUt we're all better now. Except for Uncle Louie (huge Knicks fan). Uncle Louie actually brought a Ewing poster and put it up in the basement. He's been homeless on the mean streets ever since.

But this week there will be no such problem. We are fully united in our hatred. Go Orange.

If Carmelo goes to the Knicks-- we can finally fully support our favorite teams. And Uncle Louie (if he can bum enough money to buy a Carmelo/Knicks poster) may redeem himself with the family and we'll be whole again.

Reading these posts is akin to how Philadelphia Eagles fans view the Dallas Cowboys. They hate it even more when Cowboys fans don't take the game as seriously as they do, and Syracuse people hate it when Georgetown fans pay them little or no heed.

Well we hate on UConn and Nova too..just not as much.

Without us Hoyas have no reason to exist. Besides you are going to need us to fill your tiny Verizon Center since you have 6000 tix unsold after that petty little anti-Cuse tix policy you put in.

I had always 'hated' the Knicks growing up, they were rivals of my Washington Bullets. But as soon as they drafted Ewing, i was an instant Knicks fan.

Not really. I've always been a bit of an anarchist...

Georgetown had 15,289 in the building versus Providence last weekend; it's unlikely that fewer would be sold for the Saltine Warriors.

Syracuse fan behavior at Verizon Center has increasingly turned from fans to aspiring drunks, some of whom are prone to toss objects at opposing fans in the concourse for grins. The idea that Syr fans are somehow "owed" good tickets in Verizon Center, yet would never do the same in the Carrier Dome is not a persusasive argument.

The Verizon Center is not the Blarney Stone.

Aside from over-eating, obsessing over everything Georgetown does is the unofficial Orange pastime.

Believe me, the obsessing comes from both sides. Here is a post over on the Georgetown board that an SU fan hilited on the Cuse Scout Board. Its pretty dogone funny:

"Amen to that. My biggest issue with Syracuse is not their obnoxious color, or their stupid half-of-a-football-stadium arena, or the giant S on their court, or that their city is a wasteland, or that they're the University of Southern Ontario, or that their coach has been whining since the inception of the Big East, or that Derrick Coleman is a fat tub of crap, or that Carmelo Anthony never attended a single class while on campus, or their white-trash heroes, or that Manley Field House never should have been opened in the first place, or that they play on "Jim Boeheim Court", or their fans who have no connection to the school other than living near Rochester, or the "education" of the likes of Sean McDonough and Mike Tirico, or the 50+ inches of snow they get every year, or the fact that Boeheim and Seikaly get hotter chicks than they deserve, or that they like to hit girls, or that their fans think they're entitled to tickets in our arena, or that they call it "Cuse" because they can't spell "Syracuse", or that Preston Shumpert cries like a girl on the bench, or that their fans all get even whinier than their coach when we knock them out of the Big East Tournament, or that Kristof Ongenant still has Dajuan Summers' balls tattooed to his forehead, or that they couldn't even guard Nikita Mescheriakov, or that Dashonte Riley would rather live there than here, or that their mascot is a fruit, or the Rautins family tattoos, or the fact that ESPN Classic can't seem to find any of our victories against them in their archives, or that they only have to pass fingerpainting and long division to get their diplomas, or that Pearl Washington really let himself go, or that the mere existence of their Greg Monroe besmirches the name of our Greg Monroe, or that the mere existence of their John Wallace besmirches the name of our Jon Wallace, or that Eric Devendorf messed up my order at the Burger King drive-thru the other day.

My biggest issue with Syracuse is that they just don't seem to understand how much they suck. "

I didn't know the Hoyas still had fans. I thought most of the older Hoya fans were now CUSE fans.
