Today's Sun-Times says Coach D will be speaking at the Chicago Catholic league's 65th annual football clinic on Feb 26.

Someone needs to find out if Doeren carries a cell phone. If he does, I'm sorry to say the jury is still out. He could be speaking with the phone by his ear or, even worse, just phone his talk in.

The is much more to building relationships and connecting with people than using a cell phone or other technology to link with HS coaches et al.

It starts with looking into a person's eyes, a handsake and a pat on the shoulder to make it all human & real.

Yep. I am S L O W to catch on....Doeren has a real coach's presence about himself. Was use of a cell or video conf line what other NIU HC's have done with CCL events?

Allegedly, and based on events reported on this board, this is what our basketball coach did at recruiting trips in the city.
