I have just heard we picked up Videl Nelson a Highly rated LB from Mo. He has decommited from Northern Iowa. He is rivals rated 3* 5.7. He would be our highest rated recruit. Huge get! It is not official in the services yet but I trust my source. #6 in Mo. and #28 in the nation. Stats senior year: 178 tackles and 16.5 sacks! Yikes!

There is now an article on his switch in Scouts section. He is a Huskie.

UNI must have some solid recruitor's seems like they are in on a lot of kids with D-1 offers. They beat us out for that RB from Dubuque last year, this kid...

If I'm DD I keep my eye on whomever is the blue chip recruitor over there and put him as a future target for the staff.

Iowa, Illinois, and Wyoming are the only schools to offer Nelson thus far, but he's also looking at some Big 12 North teams. Iowa should have a good chance with Nelson.

Nelson must have missed the boat on some of his bigger offers and they all went elsewhere, hence he was left with UNI until we came calling

This is interesting and a bit funny after that UNI-NIU fiasco with the OK QB. This is unfortunate for us he would have been a very very solid get for UNI.
