BullBEAST, you know UCF would bring in as much $$$ as USF does, right?
Our programs are about the same in almost every way.

Thats your opinion. Clearly one that wasnt shared by the big east leadership when they chose us over you 7 years ago.
That doesnt matter though. To increase our average payout you have to be better than 5 of the 9 big east teams (ignoring basketball) from that standpoint. Thats what you guys dont understand when you make these comments about "well we could at least bring in what syracuse does right now."
Actually you couldnt bring in what syracuse does, they are a national name with history, but even assuming you could, there is no sane C-usa fan who could argue that they are a bigger draw than TCU, WVU, Pitt, or Louisville. Therefore, at absolute best, you are 5 out of 10. It is very questionable that any of UCF, Houston, or ECU could garner the dollars or name recognition of UConn, Rutgers, Cincy, or Syracuse either. I'll completely leave USF out of this, i have my opinions, but I'm a fan of that school and throwing USF into this just opens the door for my point to get derailed by a red herring.
TCU was a no brainer, they will benefit us across the board. None of the "usual suspects" are no brainers, regaurdless of what you guys want to say.

And then he hints again today.
You know he had some "off the record" conversations with Marnatto.
You know what that means right?
Buffalo is a LOCK.

I wonder if he's actually given them an earlier deadline.
March 1st??? Did Marinatto say anything about March 1st?
I think you are getting your articles confused.....the UCF beat writer in Orlando said she thought UCF would know something about their BE future by March 1st.
Well, there's something important about March 1, because our AD is humping it on the fund-raising trail with the stated goal of announcing our new football stadium plans before March 1.
Helluva coincidence that your stadium plans are being thrown together before March 1. Wonder who put that bug in the UH president's ear? I could tell ya, but that would take all the fun out of it.
Yep the same person that told UCF they would know by March 1st. If we can't deliver the facilities by then, expect a phone call....
I'm sure USF can loan UH the rest of the money, if you guys come up short. Hell, they might even build it for you.

Seriously, I laughed out loud.
However, we won't need help.
I believe we will both be in, if it makes any difference to you.

Actually I'd be overjoyed with going to the BE with UH. But if only one can go? Well, you know....I have to hate you.
Sorry it's the rules

I don't think ECU, UCF or Houston care if any of the three get in...as long as their school is also invited. That being said...facilities do play a part, but I think TV $$$ plays the biggest part. USF pushing for Houston and saying that Houston would be what's best for the BE regarding Houston's TV market is Genshaft's ploy. But she'd push for Georgia State and the Atlanta market, too...if it meant it'd keep out UCF. Her intentions are obviously clear.

The Bull fans are really scared of UCF getting in the Big East.

9 out of 10 times I can tell if a post was written by a USF fan or an ECU fan when it comes to UCF.
It's amazing.

As much as they spin it, it's sad. USF is already on an island and they are rooting for an addition of team located in Philly w/ no fanbase when they can have a geographic rival in conference and 100 miles away from most of their fans. From a fan perspective, having thousands of students from both schools that can easily travel over just enhances the gameday experience, something they can't get from any other Big East opponent b/c of distance. It's been said many times but College Football failed once in Philly yet they think adding a small private institution in that pro landscape will work?

How many times do people have to say it. USF won't be what keeps you out. If the TV contract says your viable your in. If not you won't be. If the BE thinks they already carry enough of the Orlando market then it is what it is.

Don't worry.....if you guys join the conference.....and the rest of the Big East schools get a taste for what is like dealing with UCF fans......you will be able to change that comment to "9 out of 10 times I can tell if a post was written by a fan of a Big East school or ECU fan when it comes to UCF"
Remember familiarity breeds comtempt......there is a reason USF and ECU fans don't like UCF.....and it has nothing to do with the school itself.

As many recruits as Louisville as well as other BE schools lure from Florida, they should be the fans worried. Skip Holtz doesn't have a problem beating UCF.

Skip Holtz does not have the same respect in Florida as Charlie Strong does. Also, there are kids that will always want to leave home, so it balances out.

Charlie Strong is not going to be losing Florida recruits to UCF until they rid of O'Leary.
O'Leary always looks like your drunk uncle at the family Christmas party....
