A couple of things from today’s caravan stop at Great American:

–Walt Jocketty said he expects to have a one-year deal wrapped up with Edinson Volquez this weekend. The Reds tried to get a multiyear deal done but Volquez wanted a one-year.

–Jason Isringhausen will throw Monday in Arizona for Bryan Price. The Reds will decided after session whether to sign Isringhausen. He pitched last year at Louisville before shutting it down because of soreness in his elbow.

–Jocketty hasn’t talked to Jim Edmonds. “Jay (Bruce) talked him the other day,” Jocketty said. “He’s probably going to retire.”
