Check this guy out...NFL Defensive back played 2 years at Toledo and 2 at Iowa...http://www.databasefootball.com/players/playerpage.htm?ilkid=TUNNEEML01

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/pl...nnEm00.htm

Tunnel was a "Little" All-American at Toledo, but that was before Toledo was in the MAC.

I don't believe McCariens ever played in a Pro Bowl in his career, and Lance Moore has. In his career, McCariens had 240 receptions and 16 TD's. Lance Moore already has 192 receptions and 22 TD's. And Lance Moore made an amazing catch on a 2 pt conversion in the Super Bowl last year while gaining his first Super Bowl ring. Not saying McCariens doesn't deserve to be noticed, but I don't see why he would be ahead of Moore.

McCariens 15.3 yds per catch, Lance Moore 11.2.

Moore would have to average 750 yards the next 2 seasons to match McCareins.

RE: The All Time MAC NFL Team
I updated...

Larry English has done nothing in the NFL...I gotta put Babin in there since he's coming off a 12.5 sack season

Zastudil, Maynard and Wittum are/were all good NFL punters. Wittum made two pro bowls but only played five seasons after getting hurt in a car crash. Maynard has had an incredibly long career in the NFL and Zastudil is still young but a free agent now. I think it's between Maynard and Wittum.

There are basically no options at LB or in the secondary.

I'm sure I am forgetting a ton of older players and I need some help filling in a lot of it. For the sake of keeping things simple I'm not going to include players from Marshall/UCF, or players from Temple from before when they were in the MAC. Let the debating begin.

Offense
QB: Ben Roethlisberger (Miami)
RB: Michael Turner (NIU)
RB: Chester Taylor (Toledo)
FB: Tim Tyrrell (NIU)
WR: Greg Jennings (WMU)
WR: Lance Moore (Toledo) or Kevin Walter (EMU)?
TE: Antonio Gates (Kent State...even though he played basketball?)
OT: Ryan Diem (NIU)
OT: Nick Kaczur (Toledo)
OG: Jacob Bell (Miami)
OG:
C: Randy Clark (NIU) *Any better options? Clark never started a game according to nfl.com

Defense:
DE: Jason Taylor (Akron)
DE: Jason Babin (WMU)
DT: Hollis Thomas (NIU)
DT: Cullen Jenkins (CMU)
OLB: James Harrison (Kent State)
OLB:
ILB: Jack Lambert (Kent State)
ILB:
CB: Kelly Herndon (Toledo)
CB:
S: Louis Delmas (WMU)
S:

Special Teams:
K: Shaun Suisham (BGSU)...can't think of any better options
P: Brad Maynard (Ball State)
KR/PR: Joshua Cribbs (Kent State)

I gotta run...I wanted to get some guys penciled in at pretty much every position but I'm drawing a blank. Leave some ideas and I'll keep updating.
You really do need to take Hollis Thomas off the list. Never played in the MAC

And then there is...

Kevin Walter, 8 seasons
276 catches
3,387 yards
12.3 YPC
20 TDs
0 Fumbles lost

Honestly at this point Kevin Walter is probably the guy haha

Actually Moore should be 5 seasons. His first year he was on the practice squad the whole season, not the actual roster.

Moore was hurt in 2009 and missed 9 games, so his stats weren't great that year.......but in 2008 Moore had 828 receiving yards and 10 TD's and in 2010 he had 763 receiving yards and 8 TD's, so averaging 750 yards over the next two seasons shouldn't be a problem if he stays healthy. Of course you forgot his first year he was on the practice squad and not an actual NFL roster so technically he should have three seasons of averaging about 500 yards to match McCareins.

Clarence Vaughn from NIU should also be in the mix. Six years in the NFL as a safety with 2 Super Bowl wins with the Redskins.

Some UB guys to consider:

Trevor Scott starting OLB with the Raiders. 42 game appearances in 3 seasons. 90 tackles and 14.5 sacks

Jamie Richard LG/C with the Colts. 37 game appearances, 7 starts at LG, 4 starts at C.

We still need a safety. Let's thrown Barry church in that spot. He plays for the cowboys
