i definitely feel for the guy, but he did purchase a ticket from a scalper. it irks me to see ut orange in the lower bowl of the forum, so i can sort of understand the stance taken by the virginia ad.

anyway, i guess i would have honored the ticket, but i would make sure the employee to whom the tickets were originally sold would never be allowed to buy tickets in that section again.

Wasn't it Roy Williams who had a fan of another team removed from a UNC home game a few years ago- for- cheering for the other team as a visiting fan?

No sympathy here.

The issue is not that the fan wore the opposing team colors, but rather that the employee is probably not allowed to scalp the ticket at all, no matter what the circumstance is. The same thing happen to current Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Mike Tice a couple of years ago with his Super Bowl tickets he sold to someone.

Actually, the article said the ticket was purchased legally, so apparently their scalper laws are different. I know in Atlanta, it's legal to scalp (actually "re-sell") a ticket, as long as you sell it a certain distance from the venue where the game is being played, for face value, which I think that ticket was sold for.

Obviously, we don't have the same rule at our games.

Big Goodie was sporting a fly green sweater right behind our bench yesterday for our game against Marshall.

Yes. The VA AD held a pre-game crisis management meeting and decided at the last minute, in a split decision, to allow the Tarheels players to wear Carolina blue, as long as the coaches promised not to go all Bobby Cox on them and wear uniforms themselves.

Very progressive place, Virginia. Shoulda made them wear Virginia road uniforms.

Maybe we should let VA back in the Union?
