I also went to the 2006 UT vs ISU game in Ames.

I remember the game for a variety of reasons. #1 it was a great game & #2 I got a hell of a sunburn since was about 83F and full sun at kick-off on Aug 31, 2006!

This was the one and only great game QB'd by Clint. AO took over after about the 4th game of the 2006 season. Clint looked great at ISU and passed for about 370 yards but his great liability were feet of clay or rather in clay. His lack of mobility was a killer. He could not evade the rush and the offense sputtered. opelt was a much better all around athlete. Clint spent most of the remainder of the season on the bench and committed himself to med school after the season was over.

yeah, poor guy will never have the opportunity for a big money career now. Probably was marginal academically, too. 03-wink In retrospect, its probably good for all of us that he didn't stick with football-when our various body parts start giving out Clint will build some bionic thing that will extend our life another 50 years.

Yep, I am pretty sure he will end up doing just fine!!!

I understand about Cochran's lack of mobility. But, I definitely think the injury hampered him even more. I am pretty sure he injured his knee on a late hit by an ISU player. Not sure that the 2 point incomplete pass that was knocked down by the defender had the same zip on it. From what I heard, he definitely was not the same QB the next week against WMU, but I wasn't at that game. I did see him play the following week against Kansas, he did not look like the same QB, and he got injured again that week. That was all she wrote.
