Monroe was 1 of 18 from the arc. Was our defense that sharp, or were they just that bad.

They had a couple of players. 22 was pretty good. We were hot and they were not.

I believe they were the worst 3 point shooting team in the league going in. But obviously they typically shoot better than 6%. Not sure our defense had much to do with it however. Seems like good/bad 3 point shooting is contagious, just like foul shooting.

Monroe is not a good team. But they scared the heck out of their first 3 conference opponents, even though they lost them all. This was their first, and maybe their last, 30+ point blowout of the season.

Speaking of free throws, we actually shot an air ball from the line last night.

That was probably my fault. After Courtney missed his first shot I shouted out for him to pretend the basket was Coach Kleine's mouth (and he promptly shot an air ball)

Hard not to feel sorry for Courtney- although it is also hard not to laugh at how bad he shoots it. When he made his first one in a couple of games last night, I just knew when the ref blew the whistle it would be wiped off by a line violation by us- luckily the line violation was on them and he got to count the free throw.

Actually they missed the same number of threes as we made. Seventeen. That's an oddity.
