i have yet to see any evidence that the tv networks are putting pressure on the big east to take ucf or houston and i doubt adding either would do much to increase the contract's bottom line. there's no urgency to add anyone other than tcu.
The TV networks won't be pressuring the Big East to add anyone. The Big East is expanding for the sake of generating a more attractive TV deal when they negotiate in the near future. They're going to go to 10 whether it is Villanova or someone else.

If Knighttime were speaking like a TRUE UCF fan....that should read:
We have passed Florida in all sports :)

In the next year or so the Big East is the only option...but if UCF can contain to build on our current momentum other conferences will be interested, the Big 12 the most likely suitor (gets them into SEC/ACC county, and of course he Florida market). That idea should scare USF's admin more than anything .
we're shaking in our boots honestly...
Good.
lol, honestly if there is any program i'm scared of its louisville, bridegewater, rodgers, charles gaines, and now the southridge duo, wtf!
and to think we prob would have had strong if leavitt "choked" that player a month earlier. not that i'm upset with holtz it's just his recruiting has been pretty blah so far.

You don't know that. The BE members in 2003 probably thought that about USF, too. USF didn't have any national brand when they were invited, either. It's not like the BE can go to another BCS conference and just take their pick.

Well the point some of you guys refuse to see is that in 2003 the Big East was FORCED to expand. The 2010 Big East does NOT have to go to 10-12 to survive. It has NOTHING to do with USF or UCF.

Strong has a firm grip on Miami, right now...and he's definitely taking advantage of Miami's coaching change. He recruited down there hard while at UF and those ties have paid off. He's stolen one of our commitments or "former" commitments and some guys we've offered, as well.

This is where I hope ECU impact on a BEN with the cable companies in NC and VA will be helpful in ECU getting in BE.
