If you get right down to it, it's our inability to
sign quality inside players that is killing this program. Our big men are not big enough or able to jump enough to compete at a high level. And they don't have much ability to score points. You can't win with bigs who average 0-5 or 6 points a game. We need some players like that Nicholson kid last night. His wing span must have been 7'3". I never saw such long arms in my life. And he stepped out and hit a three with a nice touch. We were lucky he got in early foul trouble or they would
have embarrassed us. Granted he had some extra skills that we're not probably going to get very often if ever, but a big man who can score around the basket and block shots would help.04-cheers

Apparently the inability to sign adequate BIGS has been going on several years. After about 6 or 7 years the answer should be clear. How about signing some guys who can flat out shoot the ball from outside. Seems to me that we keep bringing in undersized inside players expecting to to win with lock down defense. Where am I wrong about this?
