I do have to give the football pigs a lot of credit for a valient comeback tonight. Tough way to lose. They showed the replay of the blocked punt, about 10 times, and pointed out that anyone of 5 razorback players could have picked it up and strolled into the end zone. At the time, I thought "playing it safe" and falling on the ball was a reasonable thing to do. However, it was subsequently pointed out to me that there was absolutely no reason not to try to "scoop and score". It was 4th down and thus even if an Ohio State player had somehow come from out of nowhere to recover the loose ball it still would have been razorback ball at that spot. Still, it didn't seem like a big deal since I had no doubt Mallet would score from 15 yards out, in 4 down territory, with time not really a factor. Regardless, none of that would have even been an issue if they didn't drop more than half a dozen perfect Mallet passes.

More obsession. Give it a rest, it was a tough day. I just hope the Trojans can salvage a piece of my trifecta and not get smoked tonight.

Joe Adams must have spent the night before the game on Bourbon Street. I never saw him drop so many balls. He even fumbled on a punt return, which was luckily recovered by the Hogs. I noticed that Jarius Wright was returning punts after that. I guarantee you that game cost him a lot of money. Pros don't like wide receivers who drop crucial passes. Those drop passes by all the receivers probably cost Arkansas 21 points, minimum. But how about D.J. Williams. His status probably went up even higher after several plays he made.
Couldn't happen to a nicer kid, from what I understand. And unfortunately for Mallett, the last pass was intercepted, but someone missed a block on #51 and he was coming untouched which made Mallett have to release the ball quickly which resulted in the interception. Ohio State was a very good team, but they had a lot of lucky stuff last night which doesn't normally occur in a game. Ball just didn't bounce Arkansas's way. But an exciting game to watch. Kids could have given up after being down so bad in the first half. Nothing about which to be ashamed.

There's a reason they call it Monday morning quarterbacking. It's easy from where we sit with the benefit of replays, etc. But I agree that all of the dropped sure completion passes over the course of the game is as much to blame for the loss as anything.

What did Ohio St. due that was lucky, except a fumble they recovered for a TD. Alot of Ark problems was due to dropped passes, shaddy blocking, more dropped passes, penalties, which they lead in the SEC. The Hogs got beat, and thats the truth. Ark missed a 4th down,. Actually Ark had the breaks late, but didn't score twice in the last 6 min of the game , when the stopped OSU on a 4th down which they fumbled and the blocked kick. Don't say OSU was lucky they out played Ark, look at the rushing stats, almost same passing stats. Ark fans etc ran their mouths and now we have to eat our words.

Not much "luck" for Ohio State. Arkansas fumbled, at least, twice and recovered it themselves. Ohio State gave Arkansas "short fields" several times (fumble, blocked punt, short punts etc.), late in the game, but their vaunted offense couldn't take advantage of it. Ohio State defense stepped up despite injuries. Wouldn't call that luck.
