RE: The Official Go UConn Thread
What a strange game. UCONN needs to take advantage of this turnover and get a drive going.

It's amazing UCONN is still in this game given its ineptness on offense.

A pick-6 and kickoff return can do that for you. All 3 phases count ...

Whats more amazing is that Oklahoma is giving UConn every chance to complete the comeback and they(Huskies) aren't taking advantage.

Great defense breaking up the fake field goal!

Down 2 tds with 11 mins left, 3rd and 5 at midfield, and you punt? I cant say I agree with that call.

Astonishing TD catch by Oklahoma.

41-20, it's over.

A lot of missed opportunities, but they got a lot of breaks as well. The better team is going to win the game. I just hope UCONN can punch one more in the end zone to at least not make it look so bad.

Sheesh, ball bounces off Uconn WRs hands, another pick-6 for the Sooners.

RE: The Official Go UConn Thread
Uconn stuffed at the goal line as time expires, final score 48-20.

Oh well, that's our third straight BCS bowl loss, after winning 3 in a row from 05-07.

I think i'm the last one left on this board for the night, LOL.

Turn out the lights, the New Year's party is over ....

RE: The Official Go UConn Thread
thanks usf for not stopping this problem before it started.

considering the turmoil pitt's gone through the last few months (today especially) i don't feel too confident about that game either.

as for our last 3 bcs games, one was a close loss, one happened after the coach jumped ship and this was a blowout something we didn't need. they were going to talk crap about us all summer anyway. this made that talk that much worse.

I'm glad I went to Viagra Falls. Screwing around myself was much more fun than watching UConn screw around...

Normally i'd agree, but the other two 6-6 SEC teams lost their bowl games, and there's no good reason to think Kentucky won't as well.

There's surely a talent gap between the SEC and Big East, but the Big East co-champ is just as surely more talented than the TENTH place SEC team.

Pitt will win this by around 14 points.

Nice effort by the Huskies but this game went like I thought it would. The league was so bad this year our BCS rep is a team that very easily could have been 6-6 if not for some lucky turnovers in the regular season. It's tough when you are turnover dependent and we saw what happens when they don't all fall your way. We'll end the year with no Big East team near the Top 25, but on to 2011.

These bowl games can expose some glaring talent-gaps between teams that might not get exposed in conference play. Uconn-OK was one example, Alabama-MSU was another.

Uconn just hadn't seen anything like Oklahoma's passing attack with tall, fast receivers ranging all over the field. Even a QB who probably won't play in the NFL was able to have a field-day.
