These are your words:
He's sat Gaines who will probably red shirt so it'll give the kid a whole year in the weight room,

Thats sounds to me like you feel his biggest issue is lack if weight or strength. I mean that's what you pointed out. If you actually meant he needs time to develop as a player, then I misunderstood you.

Don't know if you know this or not, but coaches often say a redshirted player needed to gain strength rather then saying he's not good enough, or not ready.

Ive been following UC basketball for over 40 years, I get what the coaches mean, I also dont assume things and I can only go by what Cronin says and form an opinion off that, if Cronin wouldve said he needs skill development over physical development then I wouldve said that, but he said, "KG can run and jump and is going to be pushing 250 pounds once we get him in our strength program." So thats why I went with that and didnt assume he meant what you posted.

We were on the front headline page on ESPN.com last night. I haven't seen that in a long time, unless we are getting spanked by one of our ranked Big East brethren.

I have to give Mick credit this year. He has chemistry on this team at a level like I haven't seen since BH.
