Down 3 after erasing most of a 12 point deficit.

Down 3 at half and probably lucky for that to be the case. We don't appear to be getting a lot of defensive stops.

Why is Justin Mann out? Let's also hope JN will upgrade the broadcast network and play-by-play, that guy is BAD, I had to go to 570 AM WKBN to follow the game properly

There is 1 year left on the current radio contract with WNIR and I can assure you they are reviewing what the best options are moving forward. I am listening to WKBN as well. Manns hasn't played very well this season so DeAndre Nealy is getting a lot of his minutes.

A three point barrage (led by Randal Holt) has opened a 7 point lead !! Find that stroke Randal. 04-cheers

Good win fellas. Take a few days for Christmas, STAY OUT OF TROUBLE, and come back ready to TCB against Morehead State.

Manns is getting an attitude adjustment courtesy of Geno.

Kent is solid again as always. YSU played pretty damn good for 35 minutes, but Kent was just not missing anything in the final 5-6 minutes when they went on that big run.

I still wasn't impressed with the win. I now see what frustrates you guys so much. Pulling ahead for the win was a mole hill that this team treated like a mountain. It was very "youthful" basketball, but worse YSU teams have beat better Kent State teams. The offense and rebounding... Ohhh the offense and rebounding. 03-banghead

I do want to give props to Sherman and Green for stepping up in the absence of Guyton. The 3-point foul shot from Rod was huge.

While there was a drastic difference between the play in the first half and the second half, we shot 45% with only 12 turnovers and outrebounded them by 9. I am confused at what has you so miffed. 01-wingedeagle

The majority of that came n the last 10 minutes of the game. The rest just looked very immature, but YSU should not give us that much first-half trouble.

But they keep on winning. 9-3 now. Their worst loss is on the road against UAB, who probably will be a bubble team. Got to give them credit for racking up the Ws.

Let's see if they can handle Morehead on the road, as getting some road Ws will be key to winning the MAC.

Here's what has me so miffed....

As if no Guyton isn't bad enough. Justin Manns get himself into trouble and is benched for the game (this game only???????) and Johnson is given, what, 7 minutes on the floor? That tells me that either:
a) Johnson just ain't good enough to play at this point in the season or b) Coach was trying to send a BIG TIME message to his post players. Because it ain't like Leonard or Henninger got many minutes either.

What's this? Is this an article in the Canton Rep about the game? I'm shocked!

Now that I reread my post, I didn't mean to sound so defeated. It was a good game, and like I said, I was proud of the 2 vets that stepped up. The win was good.
I alsoo want to say that now that I've gone to games at UNC, I can honestly say that the MACC is the funnest place in the country to watch a D1 game. Where else can you sit right on top of the guy inbounding the ball. My throat is very sore now from yelling. You just can't get in the game at the big arenas. AND ONLY ONE DOLLAR!!

Obviously, most of you know I was relegated to listening on the radio. One question I have is when did the band start playing that awful song that the Zips play where their fans jump in a circle? I hear our band play that crap and I want to puke.

Butler, NC State, and Florida's band play it too. Just because you hear Akron play it doesn't mean it is "their" song.

That song was requested by the athletic department and our football team. Sorry if those groups ask for it the band will play it (also Temple football team sings it at games as well).

Also $1? I got in for FREE. Have a Euphonium get in for free. They know better than to deny the Sultan his rightful place. Mmm free food too.
