Seems like he has a good shot at Freshman of the Year in the Conference. Certainly will, if his minutes go up, which I'm sure they will once we get into conference play.

Don't be so sure of that. I have no doubt he'll probably make the all freshman team, but Freshman of the Year? There are probably some very good freshmen out there we don't know about. But to make the all freshman first team would be a great accomplishment.04-cheers

I think his minutes will only go up from here on. Back-up point, and shooting 52% from the arc.

Let's see where those stats are after the next four or five games. If he's still shooting well,(he was 2-10 last game, 0-3 from 3 point) at that point, I might be willing to concede he's on his way to more playing time.
Can't have too many games like that as a freshman or his minutes will diminish. A proven senior can get by with some below par games, but a freshman has yet to prove a lot. Potential? Yes. But remember Nick Cicic and Kelson, and Curtis Jackson. All supposed to be great shooters.
Where are they now. Not here.04-cheers

I think coach has done a good job of working him in slowly. His minutes will go up as he becomes more and more comfortable in the system. Off hand, I don't know of a better freshman but I haven't studied it. Probably is a freshman who is starting on a Sun Belt team who may end up with better numbers than Chucky. Chucky won't bump Solo, so he'll probably continue as 6th man, instant offense off the bench.

I would say a Stevie Moore clone in talent. Hopefully he'll be able to keep improving and stay the course.04-cheers

I'm just saying at this point he's about where Stevie was as a freshman.
Maybe he'll be better as a junior, and hopefully a senior.01-lauramac2
