Ole Miss win would look good in March
I'm not convinced that a tournament or conference championship is our only way to postseason. We've been screwed by the NIT before, but we've never had a schedule like this. We add wins against Ole Miss, ORU, St. Bony, and Akron to our wins against SMU, LaTech, Illiniois State, and Tulsa that is not a bad resume. I don't "expect" to win at Rice, but all the other games are winnable, and Rice isn't out of the question. I'm still not quite sure what type of record I expect from our team this year, but if we continue to beat quality midmajors (plus Ole Miss) and do well in the league, I think the NIT is possible. Certainly the CBI and CIT are as well- I can't imagine we would turn down postseason again, but I wouldn't make any predictions on that.

Actually, I'm not. We never got an answer regarding why we didn't go. Would have been nice to be told something. Some fan bases would have raised hell. But, other than me and you, I'm not sure who else was outraged by not taking a postseason bid after going 15 years without one.

NIT possibly. But not likely NCAA with this schedule without about 28 wins.

Haven't you learned by now, that you won't get any answers about anything from these guys. Instead of complaining on the regular board about anything, everyone wants to hide it on the private board. They don't hear or see any complaints, they think everything is hunky dory. We need a "Tea Party" of Trojan fans. "Remember the Alamo."

Whether we complain on the regular board and/or the private board, we aren't going to get answers to anything, much less why it's ok to pay to play in a women's tournament and not in a men's tournament. Somebody thinks it's a private feifdom out there and the peasants shouldn't ask questions, or expect answers.

Now, that the kind of discussion I like to see on the regular board. At least they can read it, and know that everyone isn't happy with the status quo. And don't believe they don't read it.

I thought we decided the only thing limited to the private board was personal attacks on players. Everything else is fair game.

Back to the original subject of this thread: MJS, are you letting your hopes get going too soon? How many times have we been shut out of postseason when we figured there was no way it would happen? More than I wish to recall. Therefore, I don't get my hopes up anymore unless its a sure done deal. I'm tired of being a crushed Trojan fan when it doesn't happen.

RE: Ole Miss win would look good in March
If anyone wants to attack Chris and Steve on the main board go ahead. I may throw in with you at some point but I don't want to hurt recruiting until I see that we are god awful. Right now I think we have somthing that will win some game in the sbc this year and maybe compete for a division title. That is a lot out of what we have to work with. Now, what we have to work with is all on Steve but I like what I am seeing style wise.
