Classic!

Quote:Climate change experts say the likelihood of blizzards capable of trapping people inside pubs — referred to in some circles as “Irish mining disasters” — will be on the rise due to global warming.

Things caused by Global Warming

BTW, remember all the GW summits that kept getting hit with blizzards and record cold temps? They decided to remain on the safe side and have it in Cancun, Mexico....normally a tropical paradise.

....oh but wait....

Cancun suffering from record cold temps

God has a sense of humor.

Elementary school books in the early 80's warned us about the coming ice age. Stupid scientists with their unproveable hypothesis that they turn into absolute science.

Sissies.

We're looking at up to 12 inches of snow this Friday night, on top of the 7 inches already on the ground. Wind chill? As low as -20 by Sunday.

I fully respect Minnesotan's endurance of winter. But this is the quote from the article, "Drifts of up to 16ft blocked the inn’s doors and windows, with the surrounding roads impassable, and to make matters worse, the stranded seven’s cars are buried under nine foot of snow."

That's non-trivial, even by MN standards.

If Al Gore is worried about global warming and rising sea levels then why did he buy a house next to the California shore?

Because snake oil doesn't sell itself.

The doofus recently admitted that the ethanol subsidy was a mistake and that he pushed it for political reasons and to benefit the farmers in Tennessee. Funny part was that he didn't even win Tenn., his home state.

When there are economic "opportunities" around any (command and control) legislation, I wouldn't trust most politicians. Heck, I don't anyway.

Oh, and on the "Irish mining disasters" - I'll bet there are plenty of local volunteer rescuers willing to be sent down the chimney in order to ascertain if they are alright.

but with the events of the day, I think I might like to partake in that
rescue.... lol

16.5 inches in Mpls. It's awesome. Cold as well, gettin' close to 0.

Metrodome has collapsed

Alleys are cleared, but the neighborhood roads are still full of snow

I got stuck trying to get out to the grocery store, actually had to return home in reverse

Biggest problem? There is no place to put all the snow! And all I have left to drink is tequilla and one Sam Adams. Margaritias for football?
