Mizzou beat Vandy in OT in a very entertaining game. Missou has a long winning home streak against non conference opponents going, and barely hung on to it tonight.

SHSU got off to a 8-12 point lead early and it stayed that for most of the game. We got the lead down to 5 about halfway through the 2nd stanza and hung within 5-8 for about five minutes. I really thought we had a shot to steal the contest. Just before the final media timeout however, the roof caved in on us. The boys basically gave up after SHSU hit a trey to go up 14 with about 2:30 to go.

Coach Jones didn't even come out for the post game talk to the radio broadcast team. I think he was really ticked off....I'm glad I wasn't in the locker room after that effort.

Tulsa got beat pretty bad

I looked and Tulsa has won 23 to 25 games the last few years and those guys are ready for him to go.

That game was at the BOK Center in Downtown Tulsa. TU got spanked good. I have to think Tulsa would have done better hosting this game on campus. This was exactly what they did not need after getting "jacked" in the Rock.

I'm sure that was part of the deal with OSU agreeing to play in Tulsa. I don't know the dynamics of Tulsa, but I wouldn't be surprised if OSU had a sizeable percentage of the crowd on their side. While Tulsa does seem to have a lot of backing from their city, it is still a small private school while OSU is a big State school.

TU fans are loyal an loud so they would have been a factor had the momentum shifted in their favor. Also I imagine quite a few OU fans and maybe some UAF fans in the area pulled for TU.

I just remembered that one of my homebrew buddies in Tulsa got his degree from OSU but is a strong TU supporter and was there rooting for them.
