Yes. That is probably the strength of this team. They have pretty quick feet, and damn quick hands. The press was made for a team like ours this year.

RE: press?
So...the more the team presses, the more "press" they will get?

I have seen little or no full court pressing during the main parts of the games this season. Some half court traps, and we have been double teaming the ball sometimes and that was when D'Andre was getting some steals. But we might see some full court pressure tonight. I kind of think this is the type of game that Steve might work on the full court press.04-cheers

RE: press?
Pappy, it is a UCLA type press that keeps the ball in front of it. IMO, it is to take some time off the clock so we don't have to defend the post as long. We just don't have any bigs that can defend the post. We have played against some nice bigs so far and Steve has limited their touches through this press and the guards moving to the ball in the paint forcing 3 point shots.

The 3's play into the hands of Jackson and Kibi because longer rebounds allow for our quickness to run down loose balls.

I think if we did not play that way the other teams bigs would just kill us.

The other thing is a lot of fouls. This helps us. We do not score from the field.

Steve is doing a good job with what we have. There are still going to be nights that we get beat bad due to fouls not going our way and us not scoring field goals that allow us to press.
