W vs Mercer (89-67)
Pretty typical performance for this season so far. Balanced, deep and solid D. Although Mercer shot it really well. Blake Jenkins had a very nice game. Would like to see a few more rebounds but he actually was guarding out on the perimeter against Mercer's big (6'4") freshman PG at times. Had a couple of nice drives into the lane and they have a set play for a baseline cut for a dunk for him which was very pretty.
Mercer has four players and that's about it. Those four are pretty good, but they could not keep up the intensity for the whole game. Hall (the PG) will be a nice player in this league as he matures and cuts down on his turnovers.
Nice start to the conf. Vandy on deck. They handled WKU by 20 this week, so this could be big loss. Hopefully we can keep it interesting for a while. Will be televised on CSS on Sat.
There is a good article in the City Paper about Stallings and Bryd.

RE: W vs Mercer (89-67)
Yes a solid win for Belmont. They won the game on turnovers which many turned into easy baskets. Also they were able to go down low for easy baskets with way too much ease.
I was surprised to see the final numbers for Mercer shooting 50% FG and 47% 3PT, however, even that couldn't keep it close with all the turnovers.
Belmont is still the team to beat.
