The Football United Conference?

WBC Wanna Be Conference. Dont hate me just having fun. I'm a solid MAC guy.

If OSU can be THE OSU, and U of Miami can be THE U, why can not we become just THE CONFERENCE?

UAkid - I highly doubt that the "mid" in the name of the conference evokes the imagery you suggest. MOST people I know realize that the name is a geographic reference.

Why not marry the old with what's "hot?"

The name change should reflect history, success, strength and stability. It should associate with the all the strong athletic and academic success the conference is known for......

How about the Mid-American Conference?

I'm pretty sure either the WAC or the SBC has registered the trademark on that.

How about the Can-It-Be-2003-Again Conference? CIB2003AC - sounds like a piece of legislation.

Or maybe We Hate Michigan and Ohio State Conference ... but that's also synonymous for everybody else in the country.

Or maybe Ohio, Michigan, and Friends Conference ... OMFC. But sounds too much like OMFG.

I think the MAC works just fine ...
