In the the Southern Conference

Tulane maybe. UAB isn't a private school and that's all the SoCon wants these days.

Most UAB fans are frustrated that we didn't get a FB coaching change so many of the post from Blazer fans that are negative you must first think its sarcasm.

Neither school is likely going to the SoCo.

Do you really believe this? If you think for one second that Scott Cowen shifted endowment monies to athletics then you can't be salvaged. You've spent too much time sharing rah rah, all is well, "it's not where we've been but where we're going" stories with the fellow deluded on that sterile circle jerk of a message board you frequent.

Take issue? Then post one iota of credible evidence that endowment monies have been shifted to athletics. Message board rumor and innuendo do not count as credible evidence. I"m sure you'll respond with some tail-chasing BS. I'll let it speak for itself.

The OP raises a question that I'm sure many people wonder about. That, in itself, is a result of the fact that this lousy Tulane administration has displayed anything but commitment to football, or athletics in general. Had they done so, the question would be moot.

You are being lied to, you are being taken advantage of, you are being strung along and milked with leaked rumor, for DECADES. Why? Two reasons: First, because, despite the claims of the idiot who runs that ridiculous message board for the worst fans in college football, Tulane's leadership has no "dignity or integrity". Second, for some strange reason, their smoke and mirrors bit keeps working.

Until all fans stop making excuses and carrying the water for a failed university president (Scott "ain't I great" Cowen), nothing will change until he's gone, and maybe not even then.

Rant over.

Guys- this is not a "flame bait" question at all nor was it my intention to ask one. Goodness, I'm 36 and I work for a living...I don't have the time to ask "flaming questions." Grow up and get a thicker skin.

I want Tulane to succeed. I lived in both Hammond and in NO briefly and I love the area! Why do you think I posted the link to the article regarding stadium construction? Hell, I would hope this happens sooner rather than later as I want to go back to NO, eat at Johnny's Po Boys (or is it Jimmy's Po Boys?) and enjoy a game in a nice, 30K-seat on-campus stadium.

I know Katrina created a few scars, and understandably so. However my question is still a reasonable one. First, you're not winning. Second, you really do not have good fan attendance. Without those two important traits it has got to be difficult for TU to keep it's athletic doors open for business as usual. If that question touched a nerve, sorry about it. To any that I offended I apologize.

Looks like JDT and CS were on the money here.

I admit I wasn't so positive, but with the Big-East announcement, I am. 04-rock

And yes, I realize the Big East isn't what it once was, and may not even be what it is now by the time we officially get there. Still, it's enough to prove that Tulane is not going to drop football, barring another Katrina-sized natural disaster or two hitting New Orleans again.

Well, it's good to see that someone dug this up LOL...

I'm happy for Tulane and have stated so many times. The new stadium should help them tremendously and you can bet that I'll be there the next time we play in NO.

Why people dig up old junk, particularly one of our fans, is beyond me.
Well I guess it isn't.

Agree, but he was entertaining.
His name shouldve been Get.the.kiss.of.death.
As soon as he picked your team to win, you were destined to lose.

None. Tulane will be fine with the added income they will get from the BE. They would have been fine anyway.
