If UCF leaves for the Big East, don't look for C-USA to prop up another team that could potentially leave for a larger conference. Mean like ECU will dominate CUSA East and win titles each and every year?

Since the "new" CUSA was formed 6 seasons ago in 2005, ECU has won just 2 CUSA East Titles...while UCF has now won 3.

UCF is now hosting their 3rd CUSA Championship Game (for having the BEST overall CUSA record during those years), while ECU has hosted just 1 CUSA Championship Game.

If ECU likes to play 2nd fiddle in CUSA East...then I guess UCF isn't a threat to them at all.

You guys try to act like it's ECU fans that are out in left field all the time....when in fact there are just as many lunatic UCF fans roaming these boards as welll as fans from other schools. There are good ECU and UCF fans. K_L, you tend to be one of the lunatics IMO. In what should have been taken as a compliment to UCF you've twisted my statement into something that flames. Listen, UCF is not academically superior to ECU...at least not in any significant way that would matter to an AQ conference...no matter how much you guys try to scream so into everyone's ears. ECU has arguably been better and more consistent in the money making sport, football, than UCF over the last five years. While you twist the facts to represent what you want, the fact remains that ECU has won the last two championships (one on the road and one at home) and finished no lower than second in the East for the last five years (even in a transition year). Not one single team in the East division has done that. We've led the attendance mark for three straight years and consisently have the highest attendance on any C-USA school. Our baseball is worlds better. Our basketball, while pitiful, realistically isn't all that far behind UCF in production. Our facilities are across the board better (minus basketball...I'll give you that). We are a very large university at 30,000 and despite the other UCF poster's belief most folks who care enough about sports know exactly how large (or small) ECU is. And while all of those things are true it hasn't made a bit of difference for ECU. Take the City of Orlando out of the picture and I'm not sure that UCF would be seen in the same light as ECU as a program. So, that's my basis for the no threat. It isn't the pissing match you made it into. UCF is graced by the fact that it resides in Oviedo. That has made a huge difference in why UCF is in consideration. Whether ECU fans like it or not, it appears to be far more valuable than any of the other stuff. That is something I'm sure any school who has asperations of getting invited to an AQ conference wants no part of being associated with again. It doesn't have a thing to do with liking or disliking a university. It has to do with self-preservation. Not a pissing match. The statement is valid whether it chaps your hide or not. You've made one sentence into a pissing match. The fact is...UCF is passing us by because of the Orlando market. It would be wise on anyone's part not to bring in another school from a large market and have it happen all over again....especially a good school like Temple.
