It's official. They now have access to a BCS bowl and are really getting with the program. They are either renovating or building a new state of the art stadium. They wanted into the Big 12, but that didn't work out for now, but if they're successful, I look for the Big 12 to come courting them at some point. 04-cheers

Totally ridiculous. Are they within 1500 miles of any Big East football school? I guess most Mountain West schools were pretty far as well. Seems like they would have been perfect for the Big 12. I guess the Big 12 would have to have added one more- Not sure who that could be off-hand- Memphis? would add a lot to BB but their football is terrible. North Texas- would have a ways to go, but probably have a big enough student body and financial resources to make it possible. But I guess it's irrelevant with TCU going to the Big East.

So now the Big East has 17 schools. Ridiculous!

Well the "Big" fits...but the "East" certainly doesn't.

At some point does the bigness affect interest because you don't play the teams often enough. What identification will fans in Syracuse have with a team in Fort Worth?

TCU may be competitive in Beast football, but they will get eaten alive in basketball.

(Basketball. In Texas that comes after spring football.)
