There aren't many hotels close to the UT campus, but there are plenty of good lodging areas in Downtown, which is only a 5 minute drive away. Also, look at possibly staying at Airport Highway and driving up from there, not a tough drive, but it is about 15 minutes away.

I am from the Toledo area if anyone has any other inquiries just PM me.

Here is the old thread on the Toledo game
http://ncaabbs.com/showthread.php?tid=439224

There are a couple cheap hotels less than 2 miles away from the College and near some good bars...most are right of I-475 Red Roof Inn 50 dollars

If you are looking for a better Hotel or with your family, Maumee, Downtown Toledo or this Toledo Hilton 90 dollars is less than 5 miles from campus and right next to the Medical College.

A couple Bars I like...Arnies, El Camino Real (great Mexican food and nice weekend Bar), Chuck's...fair amount of good bars and restaurants near campus. The there is a row of Bars on the south side of campus on Dorr st that will have more of the college kids.

Not sure about a Pitt game watch, I've been out of town with the holiday and leaving again this afternoon for work. I will call the UC Alum association this week to see if they can send out a mass email to the Toledo Area Alumni. I tried contacting Maxiell to see if he wanted to make the ride down I-75 to watch the Toledo game (Detroit is off Sat night) but I have not gotten a response.

Anything else, ask away and I'll try to respond later tonight.
