With all the pre-hype to the top 25 rankings, I figured the NIU campus was going to be lifted up towards the heavens in all of its glory once we were ranked. I feel no different. What gives? Why isn't NIU floating?

This has been 6 long years.
NIU will reap the benefits in-terms of greater Alumni donations, greater fan interest, better recruits
and bragging rights.

This will unlikely impact who we play in a Bowl game, potentially allowing the MAC a higher pay-out, but it could translate into more TV coverage and possibly more (non-TV) media interest from Newspapers and radio stations around Northern Illinois and possibly Nationally.

This ranking dont mean jack sh** unless we win the MACC!!!!!!!!!

I think its because we should have been in the top 25 1 to 2 weeks ago. We already know we should be there, so its not huge breaking news.

I agree we cannot get ahead of ourselves and ignore the critical prize in Detroit next week.
One loss and bang goes our Top 25 rating.
It has aroused unusually high interest in the NIU board.
Lucky for the new server, otherwise it would have crashed along time ago.
