I didn't think we got any home cooking yesterday. Tech fouled alot, and they weren't just touch fouls. And several of their fouls came in the last minute(which took at least ten minutes with the foul shooting and the time outs)to stop the clock.

It was a great second half. But, from what I've read and heard, evidently the hog fans had an exciting game too.

UALR was 4 of 27 from the field in the first half, 14.8 percent. The only thing that kept us in the game in the first half was our free throw shooting (13 of 18). We shot 69.6 percent from the field the second half. What a difference. Our bench out scored their bench 22-10, We scored 22 points the first half and 52 the second. That is amazing. Fouls were a big difference in the game. Their starters were all in foul trouble. Two fouled out and No. 45 had to sit and watch most of the second half.

Has anyone ever noticed that we always seem to get off to a slow start and have some awful first halfs? I have some ideas why, but I'm not in the mood for controversy right now, so I'll leave it at that. If we score 22 points in the first half against Mo State, we ain't gonna win the game.
I'm fairly certain of that. We need to be in the mid thirties or forties in the first half against most decent teams to win. Fortunately, even though we were pitiful on offense, we were only around seven points behind against La Tech. Against good teams when we score in the twenties in the first half, we're normally twenty or more behind, and that doesn't lead to a lot of wins. If our starting lineup and early rotation holds pat next game, I predict we'll probably be twenty behind at the half.01-lauramac2

This team is still a work in progress, but at least we are a 4-2 work in progress.
