This one could get pretty ugly. Iowa State is a pretty decent team. They beat Northern Arizona at home in this round robin. I know we're the big underdogs, all I'm asking for is for our team to put forth more effort than I saw on Monday. If we lose, we lose. Road games are tough to win no matter where you're playing. I just hope we come to play and show a little life.

There is NOTHING in Ames Iowa, except Iowa State basketball. Everyone's family lives in town, so nobody is going anywhere (was hoping the students would go home for the holiday, but the are already there). Iowa State is 4-0, crushing 2 teams that we have already lost to.

Big XII team. Big arena. Our guys might have stars in their eyes. The Cyclones received one vote in the AP poll. I know that doesn't really mean anything, but this is by far the toughest game thus far. With a crowd probably around 14,000, I'm sure this will be the biggest game of our newcomers' young lives. All we can hope for is that Iowa State views us lightly and it becomes a trap game for them. They are coming off a very emotional win against Creighton where their guard hit a 30-footer at the buzzer to win the game 91-88. If we come out like last game, this one is over in 5 minutes. Like I said earlier, I don't expect to win, I just hope we show some life.

Yep. Their starters are only going to play 18-22 minutes IMO. I want to see Turner, Hall, Dawson, Sabic get some serious PT with no pressure. This could be a good thing....
