But like I asked earlier could you at least say if this will be a pleasant surprise or a crappy one?

I heard that to Cromie, as far back as August or September that Notre Dame was helping Texas negotiate a deal. I don't know what you and juveeer have heard since you guys are seemingly more connected but if it's the same thing I heard I'll be doing backflips.

The only scenarios that have been universally shot down are ones involving schools from other BCS conferences, namely BC, Penn State and Maryland. Every other possible scenario has been covered and discussed as at least possible. I cannot imagine the conference doing something that hasn't at least been discussed, because we've literally discuused everything.

If this is true Notre Dame will have more neutral site games I would imagine, but I wouldn't be surprised if they scheduled several road games in the Big East, that way the Big East could sell those games to TV execs since we would control them. It would be nice if we expanded to 12 and split games between Fox and NBC, plus a BEN for more revenue. It'll be interesting how things unfold on all fronts regardless if ND is involved or not.

What the league has said the last year is that there is no one who is available that can help us. And lately they have been saying that they can expand with up to 2 teams. They have mentioned Maryland and BC, which most folks have dismissed as a pipe dream.

So your saying that the league did not say that there is no one who is available who can help us? Are you saying that one of the BE folks didnt mention Maryland or BC a few months ago, which caused the Maryland AD to respond that Maryland will not be going to the BE or anywhere else? If you are saying these things are not true, I must warn you that they have been well documented with the articles right here on the BE board.

A championship game with only 10 games isn't going to happen. We only got the Big XII(10) on our side. It doesn't hurt trying though.
