Zack Graber was not
as I recall, a spectacular dribbler nor a spectacular passer. He certainly was very good in both. But what made him the best point guard I have seen in my years as a Trojan fan (keep in mind I never saw Fish) was his control of the situation. It was his court when he had the ball. He exuded confidence and had that quality of making the team better.

I seem to remember him motoring down the court pretty well and getting the ball to folks in position to shoot. No doubt he was one of our best.04-cheers

RE: Zack Graber was not
Those point guards that I remember that stand out here besides Zack are, Paul Springer, Juric Brown, Derek Fisher, and Chris Green. They could distribute the basketball, and while not shooting a lot, Juric could hit the shot, and Derek and Chris were pretty good scorers for points. Carl Brown was a point, and he could light it up, but I don't remember him being as good at distributing the ball.

Don't forget that Springer was a freshman who lead the team during the season which included arguably the biggest win in Trojan history, over Notre Dame.

Correct. As usual I got something about half right! I think LaVerne Brown was a girl I had a crush on in the 7th grade. Wait. No that was LaVerne Brotherton. Damn. Well I guess half right is better than nothing. When are they going to make those memory pills available to the general public?03-melodramatic
