Scholarships
How many are allowed by the NCAA/KSU and how many are left? Graduating two players but if Robinson counts as one then that leaves only one opening and one walk-on spot (Medinic?). I've been an NBA fan all my life but never got into college ball at all, and now I'm trying to ease my way in so be patient with me 04-cheers

RE: Scholarships
From what I understand we have one scholarship left for next year and our staff is trying to make a BIG splash with it. I have heard rumblings on a few players, one of which was DEFINITELY in attendance on Monday night on an official visit. I have to think that we gave him our best shot, and that if we don't end up getting him then it simply wasn't meant to be.

Next year we return a very strong squad, so bringing in an impact player would make us even stronger. For what it is worth, Robinson was more highly recruited out of high school than Kurtis Woods was (they were HS teammates), and he came to Kennesaw partly to play with Kurtis. That means to me that he is going to contribute right away at the guard position, and we will have him for 2 years (will be the same class as Markeith, Anderson, and Ladaris). With Kelvin moving on there will be minutes for him to step in and contribute.

What we really need is a big time player that can score inside and out. Perhaps a Juco guy, or a highly touted hs player. I would not be surprised to see us go Juco though, and try to grab a 3/4 to combo with Markeith on the wing/post. Having two inside out guys like that would spell trouble for the ASun.

RE: Scholarships
:) Cant give that out at this point kr. I wasn't going to say anything, but the staff is on some really good players, and I thought it would be exciting to share. Since we have limited scholarships I was sworn to secrecy.

On another note, I am really impressed with the new recruits that we have. Anderson and Ohsemen have a chance to play a bunch right out of the gate. I have a really good feeling about Dawson. He is strong, and once he figures out how to be a full time D1 SF, I think he could be massive trouble for other teams with his combo of strength and skill. Sabic is already getting some playing time, and while I haven't seen him knock down any shots yet, that was his reputation, so I have to imagine the shots will start to fall here pretty soon. Sabic is also a solid 6'5" which is nice to have on the perimeter.

Ohsemen needs a left hand around the cup.

RE: Scholarships
If I was any of those three players you would have to drag me out of the gym. One thing we are really missing is another 3pt shooter (other than Kelvin). If any of those three players became a knock down three point shooter that demanded respect on the perimeter from opposing teams, I almost guarantee you they would get minutes.
