I'm not much a fan of Rick, but he's spot on here. You can pretty much extrapolate what he's saying to, EVERYONE in the BE needs to improve their football.

Big East team needs to do one thing.....Win the non conference games. During football media days they need to put all the players in a room and instill how important those non conference games are. If its N. Dakota St or LSU, they are all must wins! That being said we still need to split and add 4 members for all sports.

No doubt. The column applies to all 8 schools. It's just that UL, UC, WVU and Pitt drew short straws and actually got called out by name.

BE need more teams and quality teams that is FACT but the BE needs its 4 teams to get back on pace also

I agreed till you stated the 4 BE teams! It should have 5 Teams. Su is top10 in all time College Football wins.

Solution for The Big East

For all of those who believe such nonsense(this article) should be ashamed of yourselves. Syracuse is a Top 15 in both College Football and College Basketball All-Time Wins. I'll tell you this, I'f you don't believe me Research it! Outside of Pitt, Syracuse is the Team the BE needs Thrive, in order to survive

You must have me on "ignore" if you still take this article as an insult to Syracuse.

The reason he even limits it to four schools is because all the talk is of the Big East adding four schools to get to 12 for football. Then the reason he picks WVU, Louisville, Cincinnati and Pitt is simply because those are the four that have won conference championships since Miami, VT and BC left.

He basically said "Pitt, WVU, UL and UC need to stop sucking", which sounds like an insult or at least a rude challenge to those four schools. I don't see how that translates into an insult of SU, USF, RU or UConn.

That's certainly an interpretation, but I think it's hard to justify that your interpretation is the one and only correct interpretation when he says this near the beginning of the article:

I've got the list of schools that matter for long-term Big East relevance:

Cheers,
Neil
