I guess this beats a press release from our AD apologizing for our D the week before...

Fair Weather Florida Sports Fans UKNIGHT!!!

This is pretty funny but the Mayor did the same thing for the Magic when they were starting to make runs in the playoffs. As long as it equates to butts in seats I am cool with the Mayor doing it. I would rather him be a cheerleader than having the AD try to take that role on.

Come on man, Getting into a pissing contest with ECU about attendance is a little futile. Start a pissing contest about how many students you have or something.

True. I was just wondering since you guys average over 50k I assumed you had 50k for the champ game too.

We hosted the Championship game Last year, that was before we finished the end zone and pushed our capacity to 50k. Even if we hosted this year I doubt we would get 45k in there for the CG, It is too difficult and tickets are to expensive. A lot of ECU fans live out of town and have to make an extra trip to Greenville on a weekend they were not planning to make a trip on. Not to mention last years game was miserable, I hate cold rainy weather, but it was an awesome game to watch.

Hey, we do the same thing in Putnam!

True story:

My department is hiring a new Ph. D. in Appied Economics and we interviewed yesterday.

Everything was going great with one of the candidates until she put up the a slide intended to give us some bacground on her that included the UCF pegasus thing. I audibly said, "Oh, no, not UCF." I had really liked her presentation to that point. 03-wink

(Take it easy ka-niggets. I really liked her and think she may get the job.)

Congrats to UCF and hope the USM game is a sell out as I will be watching on TV 04-cheers Could we give the CUSA Championship game last year a rest already 03-banghead Care to guess how many UCF fans would have shown up to Brighthouse in 30 degree weather with rain coming in sideways if a large portion of your season ticket holders were from 2+hrs away from Orlando ??????? I look at the attendance at that game as a testimony to how many die hard Pirate fans will show up in absolutely crappy weather for a 3rd straight week in Greenville and having to pay for the tickets to boot since they were not part of the season ticket package. I was one of the Pirate fans who did not show up. I would have to spend $300 for my season tickets and drive 11hrs round trip to sit in the cold rain ?? and then turn around and plan a trip to the Liberty Bowl with airfare, hotels, tickets etc....??? No way
