If UCF gets ranked (in the BCS top 25) and since TCU is already ranked - if they were to join the BE in the off season would their rankings benefit the Big East's BCS point system? Even if these rankings occur before joining the Big East?

Only IF the BCS keeps the same criteria for the next contract. I would say the Big East offering Nova an invite would likely mean the conference has reason to believe it's AQ bid is not in jeopardy.

Cheers,
Neil

Holy Cow! Navy put up 76 on ECU? You sure that wasnt a basketball exhibition game?.....lol. WOW. I would love to see Navy join us. To bad that would never happen.

I know you are just trying to be funny, but Navy has much better upside than Nova in my mind.

But like it said in another post, the Big East will need to do this one piece at a time. And TCU should be that first piece.

Cheers,
Neil

Actually that same Navy team that blew out Notre Dame....and they are the BE's FIRST target for expanding, right?

That Notre Dame team that lost to Tulsa, who ECU beat.

See how much yesterday's scores actually mean toward expansion?

You can't use that argument. When a similar post was put up about Villanova-JMU-VT, certain fans went bonkers and said such an argument couldn't be made-you don't get to make it for your team now. Besides 76-35 is a major league beatdown, not just a loss.

Learn to read yourself and learn to reason--76-35 at home no less to a non-BCS program is a major league beatdown, not just a loss.

RE: expansion candidate scores from the day
The UCF guy started it by saying the same Navy team that barely beat GSU. The Pirate guy debunked that argument by using examples that the transitive property in football holds nothing in the world of college football.

And duh that was a beatdown, I was there and saw it firsthand. But I don't think you interpreted the thread very well. Anyway, back to your tireless threads about things that really have no bearing on expansion.

As you were.

I can't read anything written by Buck on this thread, but I am going to guess since I have never seen him mention scores of expansion candidates until now that he wants to rub in the fact that ECU got embarrassed.

He started this thread as bait. He will say he didn't, but any reasonable person knows it. He is a troll with only one act.

He didn't even give a reply to my original point. He just brought up the Navy score, which in fact had nothing to do with what I was talking about. I mean damn..

No one said it was not a beat down...But nice of you to point that out multiple times on one thread.

It was as ugly of a game as you can imagine and we deserve to be ridiculed for our performance. No excuses here....3 games left to try and somewhat redeem ourselves.

I'm just wondering....why haven't there been threads (or a single) thread tracking scores from all prior weeks in the season?

Why just the weekend ECU gets hammered by Navy?

07-coffee3 that's interesting............

psss....(I already know the answer).............
